My honest review of taking melatonin for lucid dreaming

A few years ago, I had taken melatonin supplement in an effort to increase the likelihood of lucid dreaming. While I have found that it helps me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, I have not noticed a significant increase in the frequency of my lucid dreams.

Before taking it I had already known that it was not a direct lucid dreaming inducer, though I gave it a try to experiment with it. 

I think it helped me to lucid dream at some point but not very much. But, I would recommend trying other methods such as reality testing, dream journaling, and lucid dream induction techniques before considering Melatonin as a solution for lucid dreaming.
